The Day Of The Turtle

Well, it's time for bowling so I'm gonna get in and out of here as fast as I can.  Highlight of my day was a lovely snorkel down at the Cargo Pier.  I made friends with three turtles, and we followed each other around for about a half an hour.  It was awesome.  Turtles love me.  Now, watch this.  Ima go roll a 300.  God, I'm a talented bowler.

More A to M, as seen in TPAD's dragonfly photo on Wednesday, Jan. 4th. http://toophotosaday.blogspot.com/2012/01/isaac-asimov.html

After I got out of the water, this turtle hauled out and tried to follow.  When it realized it could not stay with me, it started crying.

Bonin Petrels At Sunset Are Truly Romantic

I didn't take a lot of photos today.  Mostly I stood around reading Goony bands and banding Goonies.  It was chill.  It was so chill, I'm ready to go back out and do it tomorrow!  In other news, yesterday was BJ's birthday.  So if you're one of those lucky people who know the name Bobby Joe Smalling, call him up and say happy birthday!

A Green Sea-turtle checking stuff out at the cargo pier.

This is what the goonies do when they get a hold of you.  The bloodlust.  I only got one bite today.  I was lucky.

Sleep Through The Most Amazing Time Of Your Life

I spent a good little chunk of yesterday asleep.  Trying to get used to waking up three hours later.  I'm starting to get the hang of it.  I also went on a nice beach walk and saw some seals and turtles.  For some reason, I didn't take many pictures.  I was planning on more lifer photos, but I don't think I took any.  Don't worry, they comin.  The food here is great.  I love buffets, and that's all there is on Midway.  Ima get hella fat if I'm not careful.  Sunday Brunch starts in about an hour.  Mahalo.

The obviously cute Hawaiian Monk Seal.  I believe this is a pup from this year.  It was marked, but I couldn't read the entire number.

An exhausted looking Green Sea Turtle.
