Horse Whisperer? Pshaw.

Have you guys ever heard of Buck?  He's a real-life horse whisperer.  They made a movie about him called... Buck.  Original name, I know.  I watched this movie and liked it, except for the part where Buck totally couldn't help this one horse and just recommended that he be put down.  Super cowardly.  It was shocking, really.  I mean, this whole movie was about how amazing Buck was at taming bad horses.  It kept building up how Buck was just the shit.  Then they bring in this one crazy horse and Buck doesn't do jack squat.  Life is full of disappointment, kids.  For example, today was another disappointing day on Midway, because zero new birds showed up.  

Anyway, aside from watching movies, I also looked at some birds.  One of them is hella rare, but you've all seen it on TPAD before.  Here goes.

Gray-tailed Tattler.  Ass-end view.  I should put a little caption box out of his mouth saying "tooWEET".  Then he would be identifiable.

Cute?  Not cute?  Vote on it.

Cowardly Tired

I PTFO after work today.  Almost missed dinner.  Not really sure why I'm so cowardly and tired.  In any case, I have in my possession Season 4.5 of Battlestar Galactica.  They have reached Earth, which is a barren wasteland.  What will happen next, who knows?  I intend to find out.  Tonight.  Here are some most excellent photographs of birds:

This is a female Laysan Duck.  I had to take a photo of her because her head is much whiter than the rest of the ducks.  So she looks cooler.

Lifers Lifers.

After a day of getting my hands torn to shreds by Black-footed Albatrosses, I went around to some seeps checking for vagrants.  At a place called Sunrise Seep, I believe I found one.  A tattler was present that looked a bit funny. When it finally called, I was pretty confident that I had just found a Grey-tailed Tattler.  In any case, I'm not ticking it off just yet.  I want y'all to take a look and tell me what you think.  Oh, also I saw three Sharp-tailed Sandpipers.  They common.

Gray-tailed? Tattler.  It called like a plover as it was flying away.  I have a shot showing its wing projection as well if anyone wants one.  Holla.
