I Love Chicks

It finally happened.  Not the huge TPAD event that I've been hinting at.  Something else.  We found about five chicks today.  For a man who has been marooned on an island for the last two months, chicks were a welcome sight.  Yeah, I stared a lot.  The chicks' parents weren't too thrilled, but I didn't care.  Here's what they looked like:

While we were looking at the Goony babies, a few Sanderlings flew by.

Lately No Ideas Zoom Xtra Young

Looking for new Island Birds has become much more difficult.  I'm not sure what my next one will be.  Probably a Masked Booby, if I know what's best for me.  Yesterday I had Peregrine Falcon.  It was being chased around by a White Tern, fleeing for its life.  One closer to toppling FJ from his mighty throne.

Sanderlings at South Beach, being very sanderlingish.

When Bonin Petrels fly, their souls actually leave their bodies.  This is how they achieve such stunning aerobatic splendor.  This is a grainy photo of said phenomenon.
