Plus One, ABAPBYL

It was a fun day up in the mountains.  Looked for bird nests without success.  Added to my ABA photo big year list.  Fully legit.  I am back in Palmdale for the night, where I belong.

Easily my best Cal Thrasher photo.  Chilao Campground, Angeles National Forest.

White-headed Woodpecker (female I think).  Angeles National Forest.

Lack Of Enthusiasm

I haven't been taking a ton of photos the last few days.  I haven't been birding much outside of work.  There are still good numbers of migrants around.  I am very much excite for this weekend's pelagic.  I will be Epique.  I saw these two birds today:

California Thrasher, Puente Hills, CA.

Cooper's Hawk, Puente Hills, CA.

Almost Great

Nice work day in Duarte California.  Sleepy time.  No day off this week.  I'm a machine.

This was almost a really nice photo.  Complete with molting tail.  Too bad for me.

California Thrasher chowing down on whatever that stuff is if front of his face.  Laurel Sumac, perhaps.
