While The Hobo Fire Was Burning

Lots of rain yesterday.  Very few birds.  Our Blackburnian Warbler is still hanging about, and I saw a Green-winged Teal.  Later, Matt and I tried out the new incinerator and burned our compost.  During this chore, we found one of the Island's endemic salamanders.  First of the fall.

Yesterday's Empid.  Nobody  knows what it is.  Willow?  Least?  If you're interested, lemme know.  I'll send you some more ID able photos.

  1. What's the problem with the empid? Bill too long for Least? I don't think it's a Willow from what I can see. Wing-bars are way too strong.
