God's Country

Work brought me right back to Legg Lake this morning.  I got a second chance at the Tropical Kingbird that had been seen next door to yesterday's Chestnut-sided Warbler.  Great success.  It's been a fun 48 hours down here in civilization, but now I head back into God's Country.  Palmdale here I come.

So Tropicaly.  So Kingbirdy.

Phainopepla.  Whittier Narrows.

  1. phainopeplas are really *gasp* species. First time I saw one (probably Joshua Tree NP) I almost passed out. NICE!
