Hummersmuggler

Not much to say yet again.  Sorry.  I just heard about a Dutch guy trying to smuggle hummingbirds across some international border.  In his underwear.  I'm losing hope.  In the world in general. I mean hummingbird smuggling? Seriously?

Here are some sub par photos of very common birds.

Borat Was Funny Last Night

Few arrivals yesterday.  We're all dreaming of the good old days when the Farallones attracted lots of rare birds.  We got Jim to watch Borat last night.  I think he liked it.  We all lost at ping-pong to Jim as well.  He is very skilled at ping-pong.  Highlights yesterday: American Pipit, Violet-green Swallow, Fox Sparrow, and the continuing Blackburnian Warbler.  What should I have for breakfast?

While The Hobo Fire Was Burning

Lots of rain yesterday.  Very few birds.  Our Blackburnian Warbler is still hanging about, and I saw a Green-winged Teal.  Later, Matt and I tried out the new incinerator and burned our compost.  During this chore, we found one of the Island's endemic salamanders.  First of the fall.

Yesterday's Empid.  Nobody  knows what it is.  Willow?  Least?  If you're interested, lemme know.  I'll send you some more ID able photos.
